Here’s the footage of our visit to Sony’s Liverpool Studios. There, we interviewed Graham Ankers, game director of Formula One Championship, who talked us through how Formula One Championship squeezes the maximum out of the PS3’s HD capabilities, the impressively realistic weather (which gives you an accurate rendition of what F1 drivers see in the rain), the dynamic pit-stops and ultra-sophisticated AI (which makes the drivers behave like their real-life counterparts).
In Liverpool, we also gained a rare audience with Namco Bandai’s Hideo Teramoto, the associate director of Ridge Racer 7. Teramoto showed us the best ever version of the much-loved arcade classic, and chose to highlight the vast array of cars – there are 40 types, and no less than 370,000 customisation possibilities – the sophisticated, upgradable nitrous system, and how the multiplayer aspect of the game will feature team battles and pair battles, in which you can invite a mate to drive with you. See for yourself.
Will check it out when the video is uploaded. Not a huge racing fan but hopefully will be able to check it out from the demo.

Wow…..I almost cried watching that. Not because it’s F1 and it’s beautiful, but because I just realized that if Liverpool Studios can get ME(someone who is NOT into F1 type racing games AT ALL) intrigued about this game, then I can only imagine how gorgeous and magnificent the next Wipeout game is going to be on PS3.
Seriously guys….look at those F1 graphics, then think Wipeout. Yeah, I KNOW!!!
So you heard it Liverpool Studios! Get out there and start making the next Wipeout! Or at least let us know it’s in the works!

Just wow. That looks like a great F1 game. I for am a fan of F1 and I hope it stays true to the sport.

F1 schaut nicht soo schlecht aus ( könnte aber besser sein, schaut euch mal die allerersten trailer des spiels an die ja angeblich ingame waren LOL genau)
Aber wiegesagt ganz ok, bis auf die Szene in der Boxengasse.Was für Animationen sind dass den bitte ?!?!
