[...] Interesting SL remark by Sony worldwide studios boss Phil Harrison in reference to the PS3 over on Three Speech. Rezzible, the TourHUD and MIT’s Media Lab’s Sensor Networks project are but three of the latest creative SL initiatives I learned about via my RSS feeder today. Kitten Lulu and profy have good write-ups on Rezzible’s offering. [...]

@ Ben

Half life, look at all that content created by users, look at some of the mods that have actually become offical products.

It is the future.....

History shows "User created" content has not been embraced by Sony. Why the change of heart with the PS3?
Could they also have a change of heart concerning the PSP?

Awesome! Can't wait for PS3, Motorstorm's looking great too, should be one for the "Killer Catalogue" Harrison was talking about in the earlier part of the interview.

Great interview. The user created content sounds great.

I have a question, is there a place I can send a suggestion for future updates for the Playstation OS? There are several things that I know people have mentioned that they would like fixed in later editions, but one that I would like is to be able to download content in the background. I've noticed on several videos on Youtube that since the launch in Japan, some have downloaded demos only to have to sit there while it downloads. It would be great to click a button, and have the PS3 running the download process in the background while I'm checking the news or something else and then pop up a window saying "Run Demo" or hit another button to keep doing what you're doing. It's not a huge deal and I'm sure this and other things will be fixed in future firmware updates.

That's some really good interview content... Im itching on the inside, wondering what this mid-production PS3 looked like, and which product will end up looking like it. I mean... what if the PS3 looked different...? Im pretty happy with how it looks now, however. Cheers!
