Looking good!
Although, is there an HD version of the trailer? Looks nice, but it’s lo res and doesn’t shout volumes…

There is indeed, however, streaming 100mb file was creating the obvious data transfer issues. We are getting a larger version put up asap, but thought we’d get this out to you whilst we sort this out. We’ll let you know when it’s in place.

You can find an HD version of that trailer here:

And many other great video footage from TGS 2006 and more

So the game looks pretty. If you actually did some talking you could mention how it plays.

The next generation is finally here, so it begins…..

Even though I think F1 is the dullest motorsport out there, this game looks pretty good. This might have potential. What was the song in that trailer?
Comment by ferrarimanf355 — Nov 17, 2006 @ 11:58 pm
Great graphics! Best F1 game yet.

Video looks great, looking forward to the HD version. Since you have access to speak with Sony, do you know what the plans are for subsequent shippments post-launch in the U.S? I was in Best Buy today playing Motorstorm (great game!) on the demo unit, and the guy there said they weren’t supposed to be getting more units until after Christmas. I am hoping that he is drastically wrong, because that is over a month away, and they’re probably one of the biggest electronics retailers in the US.
Also, what does Sony think about Wal-Mart charging over $1400 US for their only available bundle. I was able to pull up the page less than 5 minutes after it was put up, but it was already sold out. The bundle was for the 60 GB PS3, 12 games, and 2 Blu-ray movies. It just seems selfish for a company to force early adopters into buying that many games that they may or may not want. I myself will probably not buy a PS3 until I can buy just the system and the 2-3 games out now that I want.
Comment by Andy — Nov 18, 2006 @ 3:03 am
Andy, I am going to guess sony are VERY happy with companies like Frys and Walmart forcing you to buy bundles… Why? Because currently everyone i know who got a PS3 (and everyone who has been interviewed by the various blogs/gaming sites) has planned on selling their PS3 and most people arn’t buying games at all. With bundles like this, sony can wear a badge of honor saying things like “Our attach rate was very high” even though realistically most if not all people who bought a game besides resistance was most likly forced to…

why Sony will always have a larger marketshare then Microsoft in Europe.
much less American games which is the only thing you can get on the xbox360 “even the Japaneses games are for the American market”
Comment by Mark — Nov 18, 2006 @ 8:09 pm
Mark - Sony are in serious danger of loosing out in Europe, most casual gamers I know are giving up waiting and buying a 360 or a Wii. We are getting treated like 3rd class citizens, like we did with the PSP.
Comment by shinesevens — Nov 19, 2006 @ 1:14 pm
the xbox has no games which interest me, they are all way too simple for my taste.
its also why Ridge Racer 7 on the PS3 is several times difficult to play then Ridge racer6 on the xbox360 because the 360 version is made for the american market and not europe/asia.
the xbox360 is seriously lacking in interesting games, even gears of war is extremely easy at it’s maximum leve.

ZZZ haven’t we seen all this c**p before huh?
Good god, give it up SONY, stop flogging a dead horse!!!
Comment by Silent Bob — Nov 20, 2006 @ 7:57 am
16. Silent Bob you retard.. as long as people keep buying it SONY will keep making it.. This is how the industry works.. dumbass

This the same F1 game that the Playstation Store has a demo of? If so, the gfx are NOT anything to be impressed by. I tried the F1 demo last Friday on a 1080p 37 inch TV and the gfx are very poor. Hope some major graphical improvements are set to come online as right now it looks very last-genish.
Comment by Aaron — Nov 20, 2006 @ 5:49 pm
I can’t agree. The F1 demo looks STUNNING! Realistic rain rivulets running down the visor, blazing speed and heart-stopping crashes. This is the F1 gameplay I’ve been wishing for since I bought my first playstation!! WOW!!
Comment by Mark — Nov 20, 2006 @ 10:18 pm
This video looks as boring as the demo was to play. How is anyone excited by this game with compared Motor Storm and Ridge Racer?

“the xbox360 is seriously lacking in interesting games, even gears of war is extremely easy at it’s maximum leve.”
Defining “interesting” as being difficult is extremely backwards thinking. I really hope that the rest of Europe does not share your odd views.
BTW, if you think that GoW was too easy on “insane” difficulty, then you have some serrious challenge issues. I’m guessing that you are pretty high on the leader boards?
